Weather in Lesvos
Long hot summers and mild winters are typical of Lesvos. The mean annual temperature is 18°C (64°F) and its known as one of the sunniest islands in the Aegean. Summer temperatures average 27°C (80°F) but can reach the mid thirties, although the northerly winds and sea-breeze known as 'meltemia' help keep things cooler. Winters are not especially cold and snow is rare, but it may get wet.

A great time to visit Lesvos is during spring, when you are bound to witness nature at its best. The forest is a riot of colours, with all species of wild flowers in bloom. Migratory birds from Africa stop over at Lesvos before continuing their journey to Europe. The native bird species also add colour to the region.
