We support the local workforce and are active in supporting the new generation of locals of Lesvos.
Lesvos is an island with tremendous variety, combining traditional villages, secluded beaches, waterfalls and unusual landscape. The whole island's combination of these beautiful features is the reason why we're here, so we want to preserve the island as much as possible.
Our island is perfect for explorers, especially for those who love to get off the beaten track! We are proud to show people around the natural beauties such as the small bays, the natural wonders like the Petrified Forest and waterfalls, the secluded monasteries, and also the small, traditional villages full of their working women and incredible village life. These are the types of things that visitors will never see in the main tourist areas of any other place.

Meet Rebecca Michaelides, the founder of Nirvana Travel and your local connection in Lesvos. Before becoming a local to the island of Lesvos in which she now calls home, Rebecca was born as a British Cypriot. She grew-up and studied in the UK, and after her studies she worked for one year in Greece for a British tour operator who sent her to Lesvos. As destiny has it, she immediately fell in love with the island. She then opened her own travel agency in 1995 on the island of Lesvos- her dream!
She is now proud of the reputation she has built in the area and all over the island, as she has worked very hard with the locals to achieve it and maintain it- always being professional, fair and honest. In her free time she enjoys listening to all types of music from around the world, watching films, reading biographies and participating in all kinds of adventure sports, such as trekking, cycling and rafting!
Nirvana Travel offers all sorts of local services: Information, foreign exchange, boat and coach trips, car and bike hire, etc. They also are active in supporting the local businesses with ideas and any other way they can. The island's natural beauty has activities to offer visitors all year round and also offers options with alternative tourism activities for the outdoor enthusiasts out there.
